Job description

OVERVIEW

The Deputy Manager is responsible for supporting the Registered Manager and ensuring the overarching service is delivered within FEVACA Children’s home.

 

They are responsible for supervising, supporting and managing some staff within their home. They report directly to the Register Manager.

Deputy Manager is a professional with significant experience in their field who holds a qualification and registration in social work or social care such as the NVQ 3 and is working towards the NVQ 5: They must have a significant and developing understanding of social work perspectives and an ability to manage staff, environment and clients with complex and challenging behaviors.

 

The management of staff includes the completion of appraisals and identification of developmental goals and training opportunities. Most importantly the Deputy Manager, along with the Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring the client's needs are met, the environment is positive and the statutory or contractual obligations of FEVACA are met, including the requirement to meet Children Homes regulations 2015.
