Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Design Manager to lead our mechanical design team.

About The Design Manager Role

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating design projects for our new product and equipment in bespoke design solutions mechanically across the business.

The Design Manager will be responsible for:

• Design systems meeting standards on time and budget.
• Coordinate engineers for project commitments.
• Manage team tasks and resources efficiently.
• Support engineers with project plans.
• Lead and mentor engineering team.
• Maintain company standards in work schedules.
• Participate in team recruitment and training.
• Assist with engineering team training.
• Organize team meetings for project coordination.
• Review and update policies.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage leave.
• Provide technical support across the business.

A successful Design Manager will need:

• Mechanical Engineering BEng/Meng, or equivalent qualification.
• 8+ years' experience in mechanical design of pressure equipment or pneumatics.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Clean Driving License.
