Stirling Council are looking for an Appropriate Adult to join us in delivering an Appropriate Adult Service across Forth Valley, working on a supply basis (as and when required).
Appropriate Adults provide communication support to those with a mental disorder, aged 16 and over during police processes or investigations. Applicants therefore with the following experience are welcome to apply: • Experience (in a professional, voluntary or personal capacity) of working with Adults who have: a mental illness, learning disability, dementia, Autism/ADHD and/or acquired brain injuries or related conditions.• Experience of assisting vulnerable adults with communication support.
The hourly rate of pay is £14.65 and you will be paid a monthly retainer fee of £150. Requirements: The successful candidate must be available to cover day shift - which is 9am to 5:30pm - Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to various locations across Forth Valley, so must have access to their own vehicle.
