Due to the secure nature of the project - All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level. Due to the secure access of systems, this position will require onsite attendance two to three days a week at offices in Reading or Leatherhead.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Since 2011, our system has been live across numerous sites worldwide, running on Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Now, we're embarking on a significant upgrade, and we need your expertise to ensure its success.
As a Tester, you'll play a crucial role in testing a new platform and a customized off-the-shelf software build, which will be hosted on modern versions of SQL Server. Not only that, but you'll also dive into testing a variety of hardware components.
This program unfolds in multiple phases. Initially, you'll focus on delivering the new platform and build in the first phase, followed by the integration of systems and applications in the second phase.
You will leverage automated testing tools developed by our team. Plus, you'll have the chance to contribute to the development of new automated testing processes. We're utilising Eggplant for test automation, and we've created an end-to-end support system for it, as well as training provided.
• Scope, design and deliver Test Plans and Scripts.
• Configure Test Environments.
• Produce documentation as required, including Release Notes, installation guides, twiki entries etc.
• Execute manual and automated Test Scripts, analyse faults and report findings.
• Review Test Collateral to ensure quality outputs.
