Job Description
Based at our clients operation in Harlow, the General Manager will report in to the Regional Director and key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee an operation c500 heads, including warehouse, transport and H&S functional leads.
- Lead and motivate the team to meet company objectives and KPIs.
- Manage budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve company goals.
- Handle customer queries in order to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful General Manager will live within a commuting distance of the site in Harlow and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in a site leadership role within a fast paced warehouse and transport operation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with staff engagement at the core.
- Previous budgetary experience required.
- Customer focused in your approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using business software and tools.
