Job: Part Time Facilities Operative

We are looking for a candidate with their own tools to provide a service in keeping the outside of our clients estate clean, tidy and presentable for occupants and their visitors/customers. We envisage approximately 180 hours of work in the first year.

Hours are completely flexible to suit the worker. It would be advantageous for the estate and possibly the contractor to work at weekends, evenings and/or to avoid peak traffic times on weekdays of 8am – 9am and 4pm – 5pm but we realise that this may not be possible or convenient for the contractor and therefore this is only a guide.
We envisage around 180 hours of work in the first year to get the estate up to a suitable standard followed by around 80-100 hours of work in subsequent years. Working hours will be left to the contractor to plan their workload. It is expected that winter months will require less work.

Responsibilities:

• Weed control
• Litter picking
• Cleaning of traffic barriers
• Cleaning of entrance signs
• Strimming
• Maintenance of wooden fences including preservation
• Liaising with the pest control services to ensure they complete their contract requirements
• Painting of RSJ building defence posts
• Keeping road grit bins stocked
• Gritting in winter months
• Removing waste (weeds and litter) to an onsite skip
• Storm drain clearance
• Leaf clearance in autumn months
