Why this job matters
This role will be to identify and develop new client relationships in the Network Providers sales segment of wholesale, this will be either selling new portfolio into existing clients or identifying net-new clients that today do not have a strategic partnership with BT Wholesale but do have the potential to generate >£25m pa revenue.
The manager of the team will be responsible for the aquisition team strategy leading them to identify, qualify and generate value to meet the commercial goals and strategy. This role will lead a team of account managers and have a part to play in setting and role modelling best practice for commercial and business management and, navigating through the business to make our business personal, simple and brilliant.
The account base will be dealing with UK and International Telecoms Operators and the role holder will be delivering substantial contribution to the overall Wholesale business.
What you’ll be doing
Responsible for designing and delivering a segment of Network Providers business strategy with the Director of Fixed Wholesale.
Leads the team to ensure performance of revenue and EBITDA in line with the medium term plan
Ensures that their team and individuals are aligned to most appropriate opportunities
Uses knowledge of current and emerging technology, market conditions, industry standards, government regulations, and other factors to inform decision making
Develops strategic relationships with C Suite level stakeholders at existing/ target clients
Feeds the needs and expectations of clients into the Business strategic planning process
Identifies, builds and develops strategic relationships to ensure early and senior customer engagement early in buying cycle

What we would like to see on your CV
Has deep and long standing experience of working with very large players in the telecoms space. An appreciation for their current and future needs, and the dynamics of their market, informs all commercial decisions relating to customer accounts
Experience of leading a highly skilled, experienced Sales team, including identifying future skills needs when considering the changing needs of customers
Has understanding of requirements of the breadth of Wholesale customers, and the dynamic its own customers create in the competitive environment
Uses market landscape knowledge to create competitive sales approaches
Develops and nurtures long lasting relationships with C suite leaders of Network Providers customers calls on the Director of Major accounts to support on this.
Leads a sales team in developing partnership and advisory relationships with customers
Makes commercially astute decisions to increase revenue from Network Providers customers that this role is accountbale for in line with Wholesale commercial plan and the broader Enterprise strategy, based on analysis, knowledge and insight of Network Providers customers.
