Job description

Our in-house pensions team is always on the lookout for great Pensions Professionals, whether you are an experienced Pension Call Advisor, Senior Pension Administrator, or a Pension System Analyst, then we may have a role for you! We are a large in-house team working on all aspects of pensions operations for one of the largest defined benefit pension schemes in the UK. Given our scale we are able to offer a wide variety of work with the benefit of working in a friendly, professional, delivery focussed environment. You will be responsible for: Depending on your skillset, you could be responsible for answering calls to the Pensions helpline and responding to written enquires either by letter or e-mail ensuring our members receive a great service. You may have experience of running benefit calculations and have an appetite to get involved in the more technical aspects of pensions such as ‘high earner’ administration; or completing quality checks on complex member communications. You could be a first line response to capture, investigate and resolve system issues; and help with the maintenance and development of the pensions administration system. Our pensions systems analysts use their expertise in areas including calculations, processes (workflow), document generation, data reporting and testing system functionality - including peer review and sign-off duties. You will need: 1+ years (Pension Call Advisor) or 3+ years (Senior Pension Administrator) of DB Pension Scheme administration experience with knowledge of UK DB pensions legislation. Experience of performing technical benefit calculations (Senior Pension Administrator) A background in developing & maintaining systems; system testing knowledge and an understanding of how to analyse “big” data (desirable for Pension Systems Analyst) Eye for detail & passion for continuous improvement. MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Please note that some of the above relevant Experience & Operational skills will vary depending on the job type.
