Job description
Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a key Client based in the Northwich area in the recruitment of an interim Commercial Finance Business Partner on a fixed term contract for an initial period of 12 months, this business is growing quickly so possibility of permanent opportunity. This role would be reporting to the CFO with a dotted line to the Financial Controller.
The purpose of this role is as follows:
Providing proactive and meaningful financial analysis to optimise business performance, and present technical/complex financial information to non-technical senior stakeholders.
The key responsibilities would include:
- Preparing and maintaining budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Maintain the 5 year plan budget model (which includes profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow)
- Maintain a risks and opportunities schedule
- Support the development of new ERP system, and reporting tools to ensure accurate reporting into the future
- Ensure that standard cogs (bills of materials) are updated accurately in the budget model
- Finance business partnering with supply chain and the supply chain business partner to gain clear insight on numbers
- Support the implement budgeting tools/systems to facilitate senior management forecasting
- Prepare detailed sales and gross margin analysis
- Development of KPIs to optimise business performance
- UK and International Sales team partnering
- Reporting and analysis
- Support ad-hoc scenario budgeting
- Support/mentor other team members
- Support the Financial controller in preparation of the month end pack
Skills/Experience
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent experience
- A strong track record of successfully delivering analytical insight that results in real business change and enhanced performance
- Advanced Excel skills essential, and have experience of working with ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain information in a clear and understandable way to non-finance professionals
- Have a logical and methodical approach to their work
- Looks for practical solutions to problem solving
- Strong team player, with a willingness to assist and learn from colleagues
- Ability to adapt and work in a changing and flexible organisation
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
Salary/Benefits
- £55,000 to £68,000 per annum (possibly higher dependent on experience)
- Hybrid working / 37.5 hours
- 25 days plus bank holidays
- Company pension, employer contributes 3% of your basic salary subject to you contributing 5%
