Engineering Optimisation Lead

Location: AstraZeneca – Macclesfield - SK10 2NA

Salary: £45,000 - £52,500 based on experience

Sodexo have a fantastic opportunity for an optimisation focused engineering professional to join our established team working with AstraZeneca in Macclesfield. 

In this role you will be given the autonomy to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful change for process and resource improvement relating to the maintenance strategy for hard services across the site. 

Working alongside the Command Hub team and overseeing chargeable works you will ensure the successful execution of technical projects. 

The role requires a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to innovation and process optimisation.

About You 

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role: 

• Proven experience in project engineering, preferably in a pharmaceutical or GMP environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ideally a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical requirements with business objectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical or GMP sector is highly desirable.
