Job Title : Construction Skills Tutor

Location : Croydon

Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Role Overview :

As a Construction Skills Tutor based in Croydon, you'll have a pivotal role in facilitating effective learning and assessment for unemployed learners undergoing CSCS Construction Courses. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver CSCS but any other experience of subject delivery would be beneficial (e.g Customer Service, Hospitality, Retail etc.). This role is crucial in preparing learners to attain the CITB test and acquire their CSCS Green Card.

Key Responsibilities :

• Learning Facilitation: Conduct classroom-based instruction, ensuring effective learning and assessment of learners pursuing CSCS Construction Courses.
• Course Delivery: Delivering accredited Construction qualifications.
• Personal Tutoring/Mentoring: Mentor learner groups, providing guidance, reviews, monitoring, and prompt, constructive feedback after assessments.
• Records Management: Maintain accurate learner files, tracking documents, and registers, ensuring assessments meet required standards and internal verification processes.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the enhancement of the curriculum in the Construction Skills domain.
• Inclusive Assessment: Implement inclusive and fair assessment strategies, promoting equality and adherence to British Values and Prevent principles.
• Administrative Duties: Complete all administrative tasks in adherence to company and awarding body requirements.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Educational Qualifications: Literacy & Numeracy qualifications at Level 1 or above. A minimum of a level 3 teaching qualification is essential.
• Assessment Expertise: Possession of a recognized Assessor Award (D32, D33, A1, TAQA) with prior experience as a CSCS Tutor.
• Teaching Experience: Substantial experience coaching/mentoring individuals with varying abilities.
• IT Proficiency: Proficient in IT-based systems.

• Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to own transportation are necessary.
