Do you have lighting experience, and are you seeking a new hybrid-working, UK-based job? Skillsearch is helping a games company find a mid-level Lighting Artist, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package and is based in Guildford.
As a Lighting Artist, you will create AAA-quality lighting for engaging game experiences.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Work with technical art and engineering to deliver world-class and innovative techniques
- Optimise lighting content for memory and performance while retaining visual quality
- Collaborate with tech art and graphics engineers on materials/shaders, shadows, anti-aliasing and other image quality issues.
To apply for this lighting role, you will need an impressive portfolio demonstrating your skills and achievements. You will also require the following:
- Experience creating real-time dynamic and baked lighting, grading and other post-fx, all with an eye on image quality and performance
- Lighting experience in UE4/5 (or similar game engine)
- Experience in industry standard art tools such as required 3DS Max/Maya, Photoshop
- Working knowledge of art creation workflow, asset exporting, and data-driven pipelines
- Experience managing and training a team of lighting artists.
