Currently seeking a Performance Engineer for a global consultancy working with a major banking customer based in London, UK. This will be a hybrid working, 12 month contract.

The role will be responsible for architecting end-to-end application performance management solutions in the area of emerging technologies (Web & Mobile). The programme will involve Web Application and Web Services performance architecture, scripting and testing. Front-End/Browser level Performance Testing and Optimization exposure will be essential.

Applicants should have a deep understanding of Web Engineering, JEE architecture stacks and performance patterns, performance tools, types of performance testing, tools and performance analysis. As well as strong experience with testing tools such as; JMeter, Load Runner, performance monitoring tools such as; Dynatrace and Splunk, and analytics tools such as; Google Analytics and Adobe Omniture. Understanding of Java virtual machine and app servers; JVM GC process and its logs; performance metrics on *nix and Windows would also be needed.
