Secondary Teacher
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £43,266 per day
Start Date: April 2024
GSL Education are seeking dynamic Secondary Teacher to work at a thriving Secondary Schools in Selby, North Yorkshire, starting in April 2024 .

Secondary Teacher Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students based on the curriculum guidelines and educational standards.
- Creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, asking questions, and participating actively in discussions.
- Monitoring and recording student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance, and communicating this information to parents and school administrators as required.
- Participating in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions to contribute to the overall improvement of the school and students' learning experience.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
Secondary Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Secondary teaching experience, with at least 12 months of classroom teaching experience (placements can be counted).
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with valid teaching qualification (such as B.Ed. or B.A) with a PGCE. Teachers having ECT/NQT status are also welcome to apply.
- Passionate about teaching and in command of techniques to keep students engrossed.
- The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
- The ability to direct a team of Support Assistants and work as part of a wider team across school if need be.
- Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management, lesson-planning, patience and empathy.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment where all pupils are encouraged to learn, progress, and have aspirations for the future.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
