Job description
You will be working for an independent, forward-looking firm that continues to build on its traditional roots and reputation. Their clients have a wide geographical spread, mainly within the Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset areas.
The firm are now seeking to appoint a tax specialist to their professional team who has had substantial previous exposure to dealing with private client tax affairs, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts, and with exposure to advisory work. This is a newly created role due to expansion and an increase in work and will involve substantial client-facing duties as well as supervision of other team members.
It is likely that you will be ATT and/or CTA qualified, or have a vast amount of relevant experience if unqualified, and will have the ability to use your initiative where required and liaise directly with clients if appropriate. You will also need to have previous experience within the accountancy profession and the ability to deal with a wide range of client work, as would be expected within a small rural firm. Exposure to working with private clients and dealing with advisory work and trusts would be a distinct advantage, as would previous experience of supervising more junior staff.
