Job description
What you will do in your working day
Duties include:
- Meeting and greeting parents and children
- Making notes on children’s daily activities
- Plans and supervises child-initiated and adult-led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child
- Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play
- Has key person responsibility to help ensure each child feels safe and secure
- Observes each child and shapes their learning experience to reflect their observations
- Meets the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine
- Helping with lunchtime
- Ensuring an excellent level of health & safety is maintained at all times
- Interacting and playing with children in a fun and educational manner
The training you will be getting
Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning & Development (Early Years Educator)
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)
Training is delivered in the workplace, plus two or three college-based sessions throughout the course. This can be supported by some remote delivery if required.
