Vacancy Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a marketer to join the largest independent retailer in the East of England. As the Marketing Lead you will be a senior marketing manager responsible for leading a team of talented marketers and creatives supporting our co-op in our collective vision to be the best at what we do in the East of England.

Role Responsibility

Oversee the marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and sales within our food retail business.

Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop targeted campaigns supporting the trading plans, that are tailored to both customers and members.

Lead the development and implementation of e-commerce marketing strategies to drive online sales and enhance the digital customer experience.

Develop and implement the strategy to utilise digital marketing channels such as email, social media, and paid advertising to effectively reach and engage target audiences.

Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement for the membership program.

Analyse customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for enhancing the membership experience and increasing member satisfaction.

Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimise strategies for maximum ROI.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing initiatives and achieve business objectives.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the food marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Work within the bigger marketing team developing a multi-brand position for the East of England co-op and its multiple retail arms.

The Ideal Candidate

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with good time management and attention to detail.

Experience working with CRM tool i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, demonstrated experience in developing content and managing communications across various social media platforms.

Demonstrated experience developing and managing compelling and informative website content
