Are you a skilled Software Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the heart of Pets at Home's digital services? Join our dynamic Services Development Team and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions within our services layer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Design and Development: Design and develop service solutions that contribute to the enhancement of Pets at Home's offerings.
- Documentation: Maintain an appropriate level of documentation to ensure clarity and transparency in the development process.
- Test Creation and Execution: Define and develop automated unit tests to uphold software quality standards.
- Product Development and Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with stakeholders and product management to define and enhance the products under development.
- Software Development Lifecycle: Play a key role in the Agile software development lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the development process.
Experience Will Include:
- DotNet and/or DotNetCore Development: Proven experience in developing using DotNet and/or DotNetCore.
- Service Oriented Design: A solid understanding of service-oriented design and software development, along with familiarity with the ecosystem and technologies in use.
- Agile Working Practices: Knowledge of software/process/project lifecycles with an understanding of Agile working practices.
- C# Development: Experience using C# as a development language of choice, along with knowledge of frameworks, patterns, and practices in software development.
- Customer-oriented Approach: A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD): Experience in implementing and practicing TDD, CI, and CD.
- Cloud Native Software Implementations: Experience in developing cloud-native software, particularly within an Azure environment.
