Job Title: TIG Welder (Late Shift)
Pay Rate: £45, 000 per annum
Location: Dunstable
Contract: Permanent
Job Description
MANE are currently recruiting for Production Welders for our market-leading Manufacturing company based in Dunstable. As a TIG Welder you will be required to manufacture and weld various assemblies to fine tolerances (.5 mm) using recognised trade skills under the supervision of a Team Leader. To produce quality finished components to drawings and routing requirements that meet Aerospace standards.
Core Responsibilities
* To work to drawing and route cards requirements
* To obtain and maintain Operator verification approval stamps
* To work efficiently within agreed standards
* To assist in introducing new techniques and improved methods of working where possible
* To be responsible for general housekeeping and tidiness on the shop
* To bring forward ideas to improve and reduce costs in production where possible
* To be conversant with all relevant AWPS and operating procedures used on the above job description
* To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates where required
* Flexible attitude towards work/teamwork
Role Specifications
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* Ability to read and understand and engineering drawings
* Ability to read weld data cards and work to the specification
* Ability to reach given targets and assist others in achieving goals
* Ability to follow all company procedures and specifications
* Ability to work to verbal and written instructions
* Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
* Ability to operate a welding chamber ( Glove Box)
* Ability to operate a turntable controlled with a foot pedal
* Ability to read measuring equipment
* Experience with Titanium, Inconel & stainless steel
Desirable:
* Experience working in the aerospace industry
* Operator verification experience
Education:
Time served apprenticeship or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation.
Shift Pattern:
4- day week running Mon-Thurs 3.45pm-1.30am
2-3 months training on 4 day week initially DOE - Mon-Thurs
