Job description
Head of Data Enablement responsibilities include:
- Understand the Group's strategic objectives and assess how current data enablement and governance maturity aligns to support these priorities
- Scope requirements with stakeholders, including the Executive Board, defining processes, and form a programme including key deliverables.
- Identify the right sponsorship to ensure all relevant stakeholders are clear on decision making and impacts are aligned to expected outcomes and escalate where support is needed.
- Play a key role on the Data Governance Committee, navigating alignment and driving pragmatic decision making.
- Define priorities for process change and system development to meet current and future requirements to optimise the use of data to drive successful outcomes at key stages of customer activity for example customer targeting & prospecting; engagement, activation and re-activation.
- Prioritising existing 'pain' and exposure points, work across functions to identify solutions to enable compliant data sharing and usage including personal data within current systems and legal constraints.
- Define clear work packages, prioritising based on business value and risk, and establish resource requirements to deliver, including process, functional, technical and change activities.
- Maximise data safety: by ensuring operational practices comply with guidance and rules (e.g. prohibition of off system storage of data) (ii) identifying any gaps in controls across processes and systems accessing and recording of personal data and (iii) ensuring all functions follow the appropriate processes for changes that involve personal data.
- Establish measures to ensure implemented changes (system and process) are working effectively and are within parameters agreed with stakeholders.
