We have an excellent opportunity for an Engagement & PSI Recovery Coordinator to join our Reading Service. Supporting Service Users from the point of entry, you will provide psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
You will also be responsible for delivering and developing group/pod work programmes, such as Foundations of Recovery and will work with other programme facilitators and professionals to design and deliver groups/pods, using evidence-based practice, covering the most appropriate issues to your service users.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Salary : £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience
About the role:
- Engage service users effectively from point of entry to the service
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality psychosocial interventions – evidence based therapeutic interventions and meaningful occupation activities – within Change Grow Lives governance and frameworks
- Further develop links with local recovery groups / mutual aid groups
- Advocate on behalf of the service users who are unwilling or unable to engage in treatment
- Proactively follow up with service users that miss appointments to increase opportunity of engagement
- Contribute to risk management processes, including prison ACCT process as appropriate
- Work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
About you:
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field ideally within prison/criminal justice
- Experience of managing the delivery of psychosocial interventions
- Experience of partnership development
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
