Job description
Responsibilities WHAT YOULL DO: We are an NIHR Hyperacute Research Centre with active studies in thrombectomy, thrombolysis, and trials in secondary prevention. Teaching opportunities include departmental, undergraduate, and postgraduate activities, and further afield across the region. Technological quality improvement projects include prehospital stroke video triage, and a pathway for wearables for post stroke atrial fibrillation. Multidisciplinary meetings consist of weekly stroke neuroradiology and medical education, monthly mortality and morbidity and quarterly thrombolysis and thrombectomy sessions. Recent SSNAP performance data have been good, scoring highly for the quality of delivery of care. In 2022 we were the 6th most active thrombectomy UK centre and have 5 interventional neuroradiologists, and we aim to expand to provide 24/7 cover.
