Job description
Our client who is a large Lloyds Broker, is looking for a Claims Technician to join their expanding Housing/ Property Claims team in the Essex office. The purpose of the role is to assist with looking after and handling Property and Liability claims .
Main Duties:
* Manage a caseload of claims on a delegated authority basis from cradle to grave.
* Advise and update clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim
* Regularly assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, and/or their advisers/ solicitors, including updating and informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process.
* Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim.
* Encourage, show compassion, and effectively balance your client's expectations.
* Ensure your market, insurance, legislation, and other technical knowledge is developed and maintained.
* Run claims efficiently and keep the system updated with all relevant information.
* Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance to SLAs.
Essential Skills Required:
* Previous experience handling Commercial Claims (such as Property/ Liability)
* Previous experience within the insurance industry and expert claims handling focus within commercial claims.
* Strong client service drive along with forward planning and analytical skills.
* Exceptional communications skills, task focused, and keen to develop your career
Desirable:
* Good organisation skills
* Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification desirable

* Based in Chelmsford, Essex - can be either fully remote or hybrid 1-2 days a week in office
* Salary upto £36,000
