Your new role
This role is for a full-time, office-based Finance Manager who has the drive and determination to progress their career beyond this role and take the reins of control in due course. This role has succession planning at its heart and so the Business are concentrating on the future and what potential candidates can bring to the development and growth of the Business, for a financial point of view.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Candidates will need a proven track record in achieving goals and developing their careers within the public sector and although not essential, should that history be within education, then this will be of benefit.
Determination, integrity and the attitude to be hands-on and do the \'hard yards\' will be key in being successful in this role as progression to Finance Director is available within the next 18 months or so.
You will need to be a highly experienced and qualified accountant capable of being fully responsible for cost and cash aspects of budgeting, forecasting and management accounting, for the end-of-year accounts and statutory audit, including responding to an evolving regulatory reporting framework.
As well as the above, you will act as the main point of contact for non-finance colleagues regarding financial matters and be available for the support of the education and wider business team.
