Job description
Scarlett Arts Society is a Community Interest Company, looking to provide free arts therapy as well as wellbeing workshops and paid residencies to artists.
What will you be doing?We are looking for an experienced grant writer to work on grant applications, helping the Society raise the funds needed run several of our projects. These projects include;
As part of the paid art residencies, the artists will be going into schools, colleges, universities and local community groups to run workshops and further teach their artistic practice.
So far, the setting up of the society has been entirely funded by Richard Mead - an Associate Lecturer and photographer, but now we need to start apply for grants to bring in more expertise to help a wider range of people.
What are we looking for?Your input will help the us get up and running and help champion the voices of communities that have less representation in the art field. On a smaller scale, we have so far worked with disabled artists and run workshops to teach photography at a college for adults with learning disabilities. We have also volunteered with the Prince's Trust in London to help empower the young people on their courses.
Your help and expertise will help enable to society to expand and reach more groups, working with a wider range of people including those from poorer income families, BAME communities, smaller villages/cities that have less access to art.
