Job description
We are currently on the lookout for a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for performing surgeries on the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest, as well as providing pre-operative and post-operative care to patients. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to patient welfare, ensuring the highest standards of surgical care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to diagnose cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair and replacement, and lung resections.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and execute comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in research studies aimed at advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior surgeons and medical staff.
- Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, with a completed residency in cardiothoracic surgery.
- Valid GMC registration.
- Proven experience in performing complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Skills:
- Fellowship in a subspecialty area of cardiothoracic surgery.
- Research experience with a strong publication record.
- Experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
