Our client is one of the UK’s most respected and fastest growing luxury fashion businesses. Operating from its own standalone factory a short walk from Manchester city center, the business is experiencing rapid growth and has ambitions to treble in size over the next 5 years.
The role:
As a Product Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the product development lifecycle, working closely with the team to bring our luxury menswear collections from concept to market. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, design integrity, and production efficiency, all while maintaining alignment with our brand's vision and values

What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with the design team to understand and interpret creative concepts into viable product developments.
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to inform product design and development decisions.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, from prototyping to production, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source premium materials and components, negotiating costs and lead times to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain rigorous product testing standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide technical support to the production team, addressing any challenges that may arise during the manufacturing process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed product development documentation, including specifications, sample notes, and production records.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product development within the luxury menswear or specifically within outerwear
- Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficient in using design and development software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PLM systems).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Passion for luxury menswear, with a keen eye for detail, quality, and craftsmanship.
