Head of Communications
London (with hybrid working; at least two days per week in the office)
The Organisation Our client helps hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising.
They are currently seeking a Head of Communications to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role As Head of Communications, you will raise our client’s profile by developing their brand and strengthening engagement with stakeholders.
Leading the growing communications team, you will promote their work and celebrate the positive impact they make on hospitals, collaborating with internal colleagues to grow their supporter database and maximise fundraising opportunities.
You will work as part of the senior management team, developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans to help them deliver impactful healthcare projects across grants, arts and volunteering programmes.
Maintaining excellent relationships with the communications team at their partner NHS trust, you will also ensure they hit team targets by setting personal development goals, providing ongoing evaluation and preparing reports for their board and committees.
Additionally, you will:
- Lead in celebrating our client’s achievements through story-telling, impact reporting and media relations
- Develop their digital strategy through their website, social media channels and email marketing
About You To be considered as a Head of Communications, you will need:
- Experience in a marketing, communications or public relations role
- Experience of producing written and multimedia content for a wide range of
audiences
- Experience of media relations work, including effective relationship-building with
journalists and delivering high-profile media coverage
- Relevant experience in planning, delivering and evaluating communications and
engagement campaigns
- Line management experience
- Experience managing budgets
