A well-recognised top tier firm in Southampton are looking to recruit an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join their specialist team. They are a full-service firm and specialise in all aspects of corporate law working with a wide range of clients including public and private UK and International companies and their owners in relation to M&A, equity and debt funding and general corporate structuring work.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a qualified solicitor or legal executive with a solid foundation in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. A working knowledge of debt finance would also be useful.
• Be commercially astute and pragmatic with the ability to focus on your clients' needs to provide practical and robust advice.
• Have a good understanding of the corporate market, its challenges and opportunities.
• A sense of initiative and enthusiasm.
• Able to work well within a team and provide support to other fee-earners as appropriate.
• Confidence and ability to communicate to a high standard.
• Competent IT skills.
