Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer
Up to £65k base + benefits
Manchester (hybrid working options available)
Our client are seeking to appoint an experienced, electrically biased Senior or Principal Building Services Engineer to join their team in Manchester.
Working closely with an Associate, you will contribute to the operational delivery of projects, the management of client relationships and the management of a team, developing your own skills in these areas with a view to taking on a fuller managerial role in due course.
Working across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Advanced Industrial, Healthcare, Retail and Critical Systems, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects in the UK, Ireland and abroad.
You will develop new and nurture existing client relationships which maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business, and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
Required and Desired Attributes
Ideally you will be a Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent). You will have vast engineering consultancy experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems etc.),
You will have proven technical expertise in relevant design software, and a portfolio of experience demonstrating your quality and client-focussed approach.
In your most recent position you must have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
Perhaps most crucially, you will have a passion for creative and intuitive design. Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, offering a wide variety of engineering and sustainability services, together with complementary specialisms. They have been operating for over 40 years and have 20+ offices spread across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and North Africa.
