Job description

Our client is a well established manufacturing company based just north of Dublin who are currently on the market for an experienced Head of Human Resources.

This is a key strategic role and the successful candidate will sit on the Senior Leadership Team, helping to set the strategic vision and culture of the site. You will mentor and coach the senior team to cultivate a high-performance mindset, whilst working collaboratively across multiple departments.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a culture of high-performance coaching and succession planning.
• Ensure implementation of HR strategy in alignment with business needs.
• Lead HR change initiatives and contribute to business change activities.
• Lead and empower a small team to manage HR functions on site.
• Support local talent acquisition program.
• Enable the business to develop a diverse, robust talent pipeline.
• Manage site relationships, particularly union.
• Develop succession planning roadmaps and a talent pipeline.
• Support the delivery of optimum training and development plans for the team.

Criteria:

• Degree qualified (ideally HR) with a minimum of 8 -10 years experience in a senior HR role
• Working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
• Experienced in working closely and collaboratively with unions.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence at a Senior Management level.
• Readily accepts ownership, accountability, and responsibility in delivering effective solutions.
• Excellent team player.

Salary is in excess of €100k with a benefits package including bonus scheme, healthcare, pension.
