Manufacturing Engineer
Coventry
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Days – 08:00am – 16:30pm
Permanent Role
Currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a Manufacturing company based in Coventry. This will suit a candidate looking for a varied role within a fast paced environment, that is experienced within quality and health & safety.
Role responsibilities –
- For the role of Manufacturing Engineering, you will be using various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customers' concerns.
- Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
- Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
- Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labour required will be required for the Manufacturing Engineer role.
- Diagnosing problems within the production process and providing recommendations and training.
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize the carbon footprint.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
- Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
- Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.
- Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Analysing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
- Obtaining any materials and equipment required.
- Supporting customer site acceptance visits
- Health & Safety - PPE, Risk Assessment, 5S, Lean engineering, and housekeeping.
- Training Records - Ensuring employees have the correct training to perform the assigned roles and maintaining training records.
- Maintaining and improving quality standards throughout the business is required for the Manufacturing Engineer role.
- Manages Environmental objectives relevant to ISO14001 standards.
- Responsible for performing various site audits with respect to tasks, documentation, product processing, production, housekeeping, manufacturing, etc., and CARs.
- Responsible for accreditation renewal: ISO9001: AS9100D; 14001, etc.
- Point of contact for customer quality concerns.
- Calibration and Maintenance
Role requirements –
- Degree in engineering
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Proven experience in the engineering field is required for the Manufacturing Engineer role.
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of implementing quality practices.
- Change management experience (advantageous).
