Position Information Erskine Park High School is a comprehensive Western Sydney school located in the Eastern Creek network of schools. The school’s 870 enrolment includes 5% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and a further 30% of students who come from backgrounds where English is an Additional Language or Dialect. The school also has a Support Unit of seven classes. Key whole school initiatives include a BYOD program that harnesses an innovative use of technology; a focus on explicit and visible teaching and learning in all classrooms; extensive professional learning programs to develop the capacity of all staff; vocational education and inclusive disability provision. The school is a member of the St Clair Erskine Park community of schools. School staff are supported by a wide range of community partnerships.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach (secondary) library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across the whole school community.
Demonstrated capacity to lead a dynamic, innovative and student focused library learning space that promotes a love of literature.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
