Network Operations Lead
+ On site in Berkshire
+ 4 Days on 4 Days off (Shifts) + Shift Allowance
+ £40,000 - £50,000
The Role: The NOC Team Lead will manage and supervise a team of professionals responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the smooth operation of an organization's network infrastructure.
What you will be doing: - Supervise and lead a team of NOC engineers.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure team members are properly trained and motivated to meet operational objectives.
- Monitor network infrastructure, services, and systems to identify and respond to incidents and anomalies.
- Coordinate the scheduling of staff to ensure 24/7 network monitoring.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate personnel/team for resolution.
- Lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution of network problems and outages.
- Maintain incident logs and create detailed incident reports for PIR analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Identify network performance bottlenecks and work on optimizing network resources.
- Implement network improvements and recommend upgrades to enhance performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incident reports.
- Keep documentation up to date to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and decision-making.
- Monitor network security alerts and coordinate responses to security incidents.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance NOC processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend and implement tools and technologies to improve network monitoring and incident management.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as network engineering, to address network design and architecture concerns.
- Participate in regular meetings to ensure alignment with the organization's network strategy and goals.
