Here at Kerry Collins Recruitment, we are delighted to represent a client who have an established professional practice located on the borders of Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. 

The firm’s expanding workload presents an opportunity for an enthusiastic Town and Country Plannerlooking initially for a part time situation, who would relish the challenge to expand their horizons through a diverse range of work.

The role of the Town and Country Planner

The work is wide ranging in nature and content and the role will require you to work with the minimum of supervision liaising with clients, contractors, and local authorities.

• To undertake planning applications for the firm’s clients. These may range for a single dwelling to small – medium scale housing schemes, mineral extraction and inert waste disposal and in the leisure area inland marinas with associated ancillary development.
• To project manage environmental impact assessments for planning applications including preparation of requests for scoping and full EIA statements
• To prepare written reports
• To lead team projects such as planning applications and EIA’s and manage sub-contractors
• To liaise directly with clients as well as LPA departments and other Government Agencies
• To lead the firm’s town and country planning related work and to ensure that the firm is kept fully up to date with emerging legislation

Requirements of the Town and Country Planner

• RTPI Qualified
• Experienced in Local Authority Planning
• Willing to commute to our rural office
