Nursery Practitioner
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Salary: £25,710 - £29,970 + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 45 Hours
The Client:
Our client is a reputable childcare provider, offering care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in secure and nurturing environment.
The Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be overseeing daily nursery activities and implementing planning, observation, and assessment procedures.
Responsibilities:
? Prioritising childrens well-being and ensuring their needs are met..
? Supporting childrens physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
? Encouraging childrens independence and self-awareness.
? Contributing to a suitable curriculum in consultation with the management team.
? Promoting nursery policies and maintaining high standards.
? Building professional relationships with parents / carers.
? Settling new children and families through effective communication.
? Supporting students, trainees, and volunteers.
? Utilising the recording system (Tapestry) for effective data management.
? Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.
? Teaching phonics to children and facilitating communication with other settings.
? Participating in meetings and workshops.
Requirements:
? Previously worked as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role.
? Minimum of 2 years of experience with children aged 0-5 years.
? NVQ Level 2 - 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare or related subject.
? Understanding of child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities, and confidentiality policies
? Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
? Enhanced DBS check.
? First aid certificate.

Shifts:
? 7:30am - 5:30pm
? 8:00am - 6:00pm
