Internship is reserved for students currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year university course. You must be authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship. This role is hybrid out of Barracuda’s Reading office, 3 days office and 2 days from home.

The Data Protection group is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Reading (UK) based team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain real world experience working on cloud-based products that are used by thousands of customers daily.

Tech Stack:

• You’ll be given exposure to technologies like Microsoft Azure, Graph API etc.
• Our development environments include Windows & Linux tooling.
• We utilize modern CI/CD workflows using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• A scalable microservice architecture using .NET Core, GoLang, gRPC, Prometheus etc.

What you’ll be working on

• For this internship you’ll be given a project to own from start to finish
• You may for example be asked to work on a new tool, extend an existing service or perhaps develop a proof of concept to interact with a 3rd party cloud-based technology etc.
• You’ll be provided with all the support you need from mentoring to access to the latest tools

What you bring to the role

• Studying for a technology/computer science degree
• You’ll be passionate about learning new skills, technology and enjoy a challenge!
• Familiarity with a modern programming language like C#, Python or Go for example.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
