As we launch our IoT programme in earnest, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Azure IoT and Integration Services to join our newly created Software Engineering function.
You will work as part of a Software team, specifying, developing, and documenting software architecture. You will develop and oversee the implementation of appropriate testing methodologies and design, develop new and improve existing software. Contributing to the future planning and development of solutions and projects, you will lead the development of Azure IoT solutions and integration services tailored for the social housing sector, and leverage expertise in Azure IoT Hub and Integration Services to design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on Azure IoT and Integration Services.
Have hands-on experience in delivering large scale development projects.
Have experience of providing technical leadership to both our teams and our clients.
Have a strong background in client-facing roles, with excellent stakeholder management.
Have strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate in a non-technical language.
Have Agile software development experience with continuous delivery.
Be experienced in SQL and NoSQL.
Be experienced in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core and C#.
Have Azure experience.
Have experience of JavaScript/Typescript frameworks.
Understand Agile Software Development practices and tools.
Be an expert in Azure IoT Hub and be able to architect end-to-end IoT solutions.
Have practical knowledge of cloud platforms, wireless transmission, and algorithm development.
Have an in-depth understanding of how different sensors work and transmit data, translating IoT telemetry data into actionable insights for customer benefit.
Have in-depth knowledge of the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
Be comfortable experimenting with and using AI and other types of machine learning to synthesize data.
Be able to thrive in a fast paced and highly technical environment.
