Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in valve design for large-scale industrial projects, including power generation facilities.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer - Valves:

• Lead valve design projects, ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards.
• Develop and refine technical specifications for valve systems, incorporating latest industry practices and regulatory requirements.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses to optimize valve functionality, safety, and reliability.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for the integration of valve solutions within complex system designs.
• Oversee technical documentation and approval processes for valve designs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Engage in problem-solving for valve-related technical challenges, providing expert insights and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Essential:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in the design and engineering of valves for large industrial or power generation projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to valve design and simulation.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations governing valve design.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Desired:

• A Master's degree is preferred, but by no means essential
• A background in the nuclear sector, ideally EPR/PWR technology
• Sound understanding of nuclear processing regulations
• Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC
