Job description
Axcis Education work with a special school for children aged between 5-11 years within Telford.
This is a primary special educational needs provision for children with varied special needs including:
- Moderate/complex learning difficulties.
- Communication & interaction difficulties.
- Social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Sensory and physical/ medical needs.
We are looking for dynamic, energetic, flexible, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are committed to an inclusive approach. Your role will be to support teachers and children within the specialist classroom and in their inclusion in the mainstream setting where appropriate. You will be committed to providing the best opportunities for our rewarding but sometimes challenging group of learners and ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidates will demonstrate a sound understanding of the specialist approaches that work best with children who have difficulties associated with communication and interaction and in particular, Autism. They will be able to evidence their knowledge, skills and experience in successfully supporting these children to reach their potential within an educational setting.
A flexible approach, a sense of humour, reliability, punctuality, stamina, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Pay rate ranges from £80-£90 per day
To work for us you will need to have a DBS on the update service, if you haven't already got one on the update service you will need to pay for a new one.
