Job description
I am currently supporting a Shropshire based Not-for-Profit to recruit a Management Accountant. This role is paying £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.
This Not-for-Profit client works closely with the Local Authority in Shropshire to provide services to the community.
Management Accountant:
- Prepare and present financial information to budget holders and the Senior Management Team.
- Business partner and meet regularly with budget holders, providing guidance on financial figures and costs.
- Analysis and reporting of variable costs.
- Preparation and production of budgets and forecasts.
- Support with completion of accruals and month end processes.
- Support the financial accountant with financial information during year end audit.
- Assist with the preparation of business plans.
- Manage costing and budget for capital projects.
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures.
- Manage the assistant management accountant.
Management Accountant:
- ideally you will be ACA, ACCA, CGMA/CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified. Working towards full qualification will also be considered.
- It is essential you have prepared monthly management accounts and can evidence this from a previous role.
- Have the credibility and confidence to lead with key stakeholder meetings, providing sound financial guidance.
- It is important you have supported providing financial information for the external audit.
- Capital or project costing experience would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Public Sector financial regulations is also desirable.
