Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director, and responsible for the department, you will be hands-on in all aspects of the role. You will help us build and maintain strong and consistent brands through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels, with responsibility for activities that include, but are not limited to;
- Develop short and long-term strategies and tactics to establish and position our business brands as well as providing clear guidelines for brand protection
- Oversee and approve all marketing material to ensure business brand messages are strong and consistent across all channels, communication types and material. In this hands-on role you are expected to create content.
- Create and deliver the marketing plan
- From idea to execution, lead all marketing design and activities from social media, email & digital campaigns to advertising, corporate & creative projects, ensuring that all projects and campaigns are on time, in budget, monitored, evaluated and reported on using appropriate metrics
- Manage, develop and inspire the Marketing Team
- Analyse consumer behaviour to help define and deliver the desired customer experience
- Coordinate all media contacts and ensure the business gets print and digital coverage
- Work with key stakeholders to provide engaging material and/or valuable activities to assist growth and competitiveness through a variety of existing, new and emerging channels
- Organise, support and/or attend meetings, events and conferences
- Manage relationships with the corporate partners of the business
- Communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders and depts to ensure that projects are coordinated to maximum benefit of the business including all sales channel development and product launches
- Maintain a keen understanding of the industry – research business products & services (and competitor analysis and emerging trends) to identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
- Maximise existing communication channels and the retention of customers through social media, email marketing, database segmentation/marketing and the whole CRM experience
- Recommend new and/or improved website functionality
- Drive qualified volume traffic to the website by providing rich consumer engagement utilising a variety of techniques across multiple marketing channels (including digital & affiliate marketing) and work in tandem with the Head of eCommerce, to increase sales / customer database and brand awareness / social media audiences.
Requirements
- A proven track record across the full marketing mix including successful delivery of B2B and B2C Marketing Strategies and campaign implementation within a high-growth and/or retail environment
- Proven Brand Management experience and ability to understand and develop marketing/brand strategies
- Excellent leadership and management skills – in depth senior business experience in similar role (min 5 years) and be able to influence and present confidently to Directors and key stakeholders
- A hands-on, collaborative people & project manager with experience of building capability & motivating to achieve results
- Results oriented and commercially aware with ability to problem-solve and decision make at highest levels
- Strong creative ability, with a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy
- A great thinker & communicator and be able to work well, and stay focused, under pressure
- Analytical, numerically literate, organised and with an impeccable eye for detail
- Marketing Degree or industry/specialist equivalent preferable with solid knowledge of web analytics and up to date, solid working knowledge of digital platforms, integration and SEO
This role is predominantly office based with the potential for 1 day a week working from home after probation.
