About the role

The System Administrator will be part of the Corporate IT team, responsible for ensuring our internally used business applications are operating correctly and aligned with business needs as well as procuring, provisioning, monitoring, storing, and supporting hardware across our team. 

Location

The role will be based in our Derry office.

What you will be doing

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Manage the procurement/configuration/maintenance and ongoing support for end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and peripherals.
• Configure and support internal tools and platforms including, but not limited to, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Office 365, Vonage VBC, and VCC.
• Support our cyber security certification standings with the management and configuration of AV and MDM.
• Implement, maintain, and support internal office networks including patching and security updates
• Assist with implementation and management of any new software as needed to support business requirements.
• Support and advise Learning Pool staff on technology best practices.
• Review and improve existing systems, and processes, while striving to automate or simplify where possible.
• Manage relationships with third-party suppliers to secure advantageous deals for software and hardware procurement
• Scripting to automate tasks within our team or systems using Powershell for WindowsOS or similar tooling for MacOS.
• Creating and maintaining the documentation for tasks and processes

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

• Proven track record : you will have experience supporting and maintaining Windows OS, macOS (including process automation process automation and scripting) and Android/iPhone 
• Previous Experience : you will have experience in supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Anti-Virus (AV) solutions
• Technical Expertise: you will have expertise working with Google Workspace and GAM and supporting Google end users
• Specialist Systems Knowledge: You will have both knowledge and experience working with Jira and Confluence including administration and set up of projects, spaces permissions etc.
• Building Relationships: You will have a collaborative approach to teamwork with a “got your back” attitude
• Communication : You will be an excellent communicator, collaborator and presenter
• Delivering with others: An excellent team player, capable of working across a large and disparate business to achieve their goals

Although not essential, it would be desirable if you have the following experience; 

• Experience with VoIP telephony services
• Experience with managing internal networks
• Experience with installing and maintaining conference room hardware
• Previous experience with roll-outs of new processes and systems
