Laboratory Technician 

6 month contract role - potential for permanent

Based in High Wycombe, HP12 3QS

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join us for an initial period of 6 months to cover maternity leave. This role requires dedication to performing foreign body, food, and packaging microscopical analyses, primarily identifying foreign bodies. Working with experts, your role is to ensure accurate analysis and adhere to accredited methodologies and quality standards. You will provide these services to third party customers and Premier Foods' businesses.

The Key Requirements...

• To perform foreign body identifications following the UKAS accredited methodologies and protocols where applicable.
• To interpret and clearly report findings using appropriate IT packages.
• To undertake food, packaging, and method development projects under the guidance of a senior colleague.
• To present technical information clearly and concisely, both in written and spoken word.
• To perform sample logging and data entry into the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• To carry out equipment monitoring.
