Payroll Specialist - 12 Month FTC

TMF Group is a leading provider of critical administrative services, helping clients invest and operate safely around the world. We provide legal, financial, and employee administration in TMF Group’s teams in 120 offices.
Key Responsibilities
Complete the POC for UKI. This will involve working with Megapay who will lead on this, but you will be part of the Team from TMF to undertake the Training, Testing & P/R, etc.
- Learning Megapay
- Assisting Megapay with Payroll build, Client rules, Element set up, Pension set up, etc.
- UAT
- Migrating data from Star
- Data cleansing
- Converting Data to Megapay formats. Working with Automation/apteryx teams to build reusable tools for this process
- Parallel running the payrolls, comparisons, etc. up to sign-off.
- Help develop Payroll Checking reports, i.e. Variances between periods, new starter reports, leaver reports
- Help develop a suite of client outputs including reports for Pension Portal uploads, gross-to-net reports
- Assist in the delivery of Outputs to Horizon (Can this be automated)
- Identify System improvements over the current solutions and any regression
Migrate existing Clients this will be a TMF task, with support from Megapay
- Assisting in the migration of Existing Payroll, with the head of Payroll, Payroll Manager, and other internal stakeholders using a repeatable technology-driven transfer of data process (over the next 12 months)
- Deliver according to the Timetable as agreed with Senior Megapay Project Leads
- Assist in sending internal communications to Clients, Payroll teams
- Assist with the build of payrolls, set up Client rules, Element set up, Pension set up, etc, Utilising Megapay functionality to reduce manual calculations, etc
- Assist in the creation and delivery of Payroll Manuals for each clients, in an agreed format
- Extract existing payroll data from Star
- Data Cleansing
- Converting data to Megapay formats using a repeatable technology-driven transfer of data process (over the next 12 months)
- Parallel running payrolls as instructed
- Ensure client Payroll checking reports are set up
- Gather Sign off by Client for P/R’s & BAU
- Send templates to Clients that can be used to collect data from existing clients
- Ensure Outputs meet Client expectations including Pension files, GL formats
- Assist with Horizon mapping for client reports
- Assist with Workday mapping if applicable
- Any other duties as seen relevant
Develop a New onboarding Process (Star to potentially be removed by March 2023)
- Develop a slick technology-driven process to onboard new Clients onto Megapay, that is repeatable.
- Assist in the build if possible of a Shell Payroll that may cover the 80/20 rule for new clients that is reusable
- Data Collection templates are developed with clear instructions so that the client is clear as to what we require in relation to onboarding their payroll, so data can be easily imported
- Standard suite of reports for all clients
- Standard Payroll Manual in place for all clients
- Standard GL File
- Horizon set up the process
- Workday integration if applicable
Requirements
- 4 + years of Payroll experience
- Experience with Megapay desirable but not essential
- Resourceful, independent, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organise
- Analytical structured mindset with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistency
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and preferably a second language
