Job description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Department Administrator for 6-8 weeks with possibility of extension contract on a rate of £14.11 hour PAYE. This role is hybrid based with working at home and on site.
Responsibilities:
- Clerical
- Data entry
- Diary Management
Essential Skills:
- Ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload effectively with minimum supervision, including advance planning to ensure the effective administrative support to the Department
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, helpful, approachable, and confident manner and a customer-focused approach to the delivery of services
- Excellent IT skills to include experience in Microsoft computer packages, e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel. Willingness to learn other packages including those supporting HR and financial administration as required.
- The ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility regarding working in a continually evolving and demanding environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of the higher education system is desirable
- Typically, two years in a similar role
