Job description

North Tyneside Children’s Social Care is considered to be Outstanding by Ofsted in recognition of the improved services and outcomes for children, young people and families.   We want the best for our children and have invested in our services to allow us to continue to make a difference children and families.

We recognise that to continue to do this we need passionate leaders who can inspire others and support the continued professional development of individuals and services. We want leaders who care most about children and young people getting the right help at the right time, listening to their voice and working in partnership with families and wider networks.

Our residential and supported living provision has grown over recent years. We now have five registered children’s homes, one residential short break home and registered Staying Close/supported accommodation for over 16s.

We are looking for someone who can continue to drive forward the development of our homes working with the registered managers and the rest of the senior management team ensuring that children we care for have the best outcomes they can.

To join us you will be an Experienced Registered Manager of a Children’s home and you must hold a DipSW or equivalent, or Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.  Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years management experience in children’s residential services, with 2 years minimum as a Registered Manager.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
