Connect Appointments are recruiting Forklift Drivers to join our prestigious food production and manufacturing client in Livingston, on a full-time ongoing position.

What's on offer?

• 5 days over 7 - 05:30 to 15:30
• £12.05 per hour - paid weekly
• Immediate starts available
• Full training provided

Working as a Forklift Driver you will be responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, a FLT Driver may undertake general warehouse duties as and when needed. Your duties will include:

• Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
• Ensuring forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
• Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
• Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods

To be successful in this position you will have a valid license, combined with: Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail; The physical ability to perform manual labour; The ability to work well in a team; Knowledge of warehouse H&S requirements; The ability to itemise and record stock for inventories.
