I am working in partnership with a leading retail opticians and audiology business founded in 1928. My client is an independent familyowned and family run company who believe our people are the key to success and longevity.
The company has grown to have 35 stores all special and unique – 25 fully owned 7 franchised 2 coowned and 1 business operating under its own name.
I am searching for a qualified Mobile Dispensing Optician to join this brilliant company

The mobile Team you will be involved in a mixture of branch support with additional responsibilities contributing to the learning and development of our practice teams. You will act as an ambassador for the business leading by example.

• All patients have a 30 minute eye examination. This is backed by a comprehensive 15 minute prescreening which is completed by one of the team
• All practices are equipped with OCT’s alongside the majority of our practices equipped with Optomap.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their journey as a Dispensing Optician and take on further responsibilities which include but are not restricted to the following….

• Providing clinical cover to the a variety of clinics
• Being a unique voice between branches to ensure clinical standards are maintained
• Inducting new starters to the business
• Conducting experience days as part of our interview process for new staff members
• Creating modules for our online learning system in partnership with the Learning and Development team
• Providing ongoing training and support to our existing Dispensing Opticians

Travel is a necessity within the mobile team so you must have a full UK driving licence and be comfortable commuting to the following practices; Swindon Thatcham Cirencester BurnhamonSea Basingstoke and Windsor . This is one of the highlights of the role enabling you to meet a diverse range of Leightons staff members and patients within ever changing scenery.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Optometry or related field.
