Job Title: Cleaner (Night) for Eric Liddell Sports Centre
Hours of Work: 5 nights a week 10.30pm – 12.30am (all year contract)
Occasional weekend working may be required to service events.
Reports to: Cleaning Manager
Principal Role
To work as part of a night team to ensure the delivery of an effective, high quality cleaning service for the Sports Centre.
Main duties
• Ensure that standards of cleanliness are met, and a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the sports centre.
• Monitor material stock levels and ensure that the adequate supplies are maintained reporting any supply needs to the Cleaning Manager.
• Ensuring secure storage of cleaning products and equipment, in line with COSHH requirements.
• Complying with all health and safety legislation and report any concerns to the Cleaning Manager.
• Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet the school’s high standards.
• Key holder.
• Attending INSED and other training relevant to the role, especially in use of specialist cleaning equipment.
• Carrying out any other reasonable requests, in line with the broad responsibilities of the role.

Eltham College is a highly successful independent day school in south-east London, educating boys and girls aged 7 to 18 across both Junior and Senior Schools. The College has grown considerably over recent years: there are now over 800 students in the Senior School and around 260 pupils in the Junior School and places are heavily oversubscribed. Since 2020, girls have been able to join Years 3 and 7, mirroring the Sixth Form which has been coeducational for over 45 years.
